Reptile Encounters

We are excited to bring our educational programs to you! All programs are approximately 45 minutes in length and include animal interactions during and after the presentation. Below are examples of the kinds of encounters we can organize. If you have a specific learning objective in mind let us know and we can craft an experience to meet your needs! 

In this program we introduce learners to reptiles from all over the world! Included are representative animals from North America, Africa, South America, Australia, & Asia! This visit includes some of our biggest animals and is an exciting way to introduce the amazing world of reptiles. 

Meet the animals that, with other reptiles and dinosaur bones, helped inspire myths of dragons around the world! This program will feature some of our smaller but handleable lizards including bearded dragons, crested geckos, fat-tailed geckos and more! 

This is one of our favorite programs as it is all about turtles! Included in this presentation are turtles from around the world and will focus on their unique ecology, life history, and conservation. 

From giant to tiny meet the animals that are revered and too often reviled in cultures around the world. In this program we introduce learners to a variety of snakes and work to dispel misunderstandings of these amazing animals. This program includes smaller species such as the western hognose, up to larger animals like our adult red-tailed boas! 

While we would love to do these events for free, we need to sustainably support our outreach efforts so that we can provide these amazing interactions far into the future. Fees from these programs help to cover the costs of caring for our education animals, transport, and insurance. 

Programs start at $150 and include a 45 minute presentation, 30 minutes of animal interaction afterwards and travel to a venue within 30 miles of our learning center. Transportation fees will be added for events further than 30 miles and will depend on distance traveled. We can also host groups of up to 30 in our learning center.
